Not great… unless you like mediocre. I had a coffee, sent it back because it was COLD. Received a new cup of coffee only for it to be disgusting. I don’t think my waitress knew how to make coffee. My peach sangria was delicious and the only reason I’m giving two stars. I ordered the chicken and waffles with a side of Mac. The chicken was bland and needed salt, waffles not great. Mac and cheese was subpar. I was really disappointed and dissatisfied.
Cute atmosphere with plenty of opportunities for freebies and discounts on your meal. The ingredients seem fairly high quality and well prepared. Definitely recommend the Tupelo Shrimp and Grits and the Fried Green Tomatoes, some of the better versions of those dishes I've had anywhere. The Creole Shrimp Linguine, while decent and filling, was a bit bland so not really worth ordering compared to the shrimp and grits.
A Brunch Date with The Husband at Tupelo's was definitely a great spot to try. The day we went The restaurant was very short staffed so the wait time was a little longer than normal, but the food was absolutely worth the wait! My husband got the Mac N Cheese Chicken&Waffles and I got the Sriracha Honey Chicken&Waffles. We also enjoyed the " Pink is the new mimosa" If you're ever in the Sandy Springs area for brunch or want to try something new definitely stop by.
