Me and my girlfriend had been down to Truman’s last week for a dinner, first time here. We were greeted by a sign that says to find a server to be seated, which we couldn’t find any after entering the building. We asked the nice bartender for directions on if we should sit ourselves or wait, she said go ahead and wait. We made our way to one of the patios where another family was finishing their meals. We sat and waited to be greeted, as multiple of the employees passed by cleaning and finishing the other table, no big deal. After 15 minutes passed with no server or anyone to greet, I debated leaving but I gave the benefit of the doubt. Fast foreword another 20 minutes still nobody. we decided to sit inside which we didn’t want to do, but did anyways. Took roughly another 10 minutes to be greeted by a hostess. Total of more than 45 minutes to even get drinks and there was nobody inside of the restaurant, only the opposite patio. Food was good, and once we actually got service the servi
We love Truman's pizza and have been here more than a few times as a couple or a larger group. The food was as good as we told our friend it would be, but the overall service and experience was lacking during this latest visit. Our breakfast shots (which we love, and rarely get bacon with anywhere else) sadly did not come with the anticipated bacon. The bar was also out of whip for some other specialty drinks, which seems pretty odd for a Saturday brunch. The staff seemed ill trained and never really won us back over after we waited over 15 minutes to be greeted after we were sat by the host, who was very friendly, attentive, and seated us promptly. I do recommend this place and plan to come back. I just hope, from one bartender to another, there is better service next time.
The gluten-free pizza was decent. My wife said her burger rocked. It was the Frisco melt, and I had the pasta. It was a penne pasta with a southwest Alfredo sauce, plus chicken and tortilla strips. It was fantastic. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options
