Dinner was really disappointing. I had really high hopes. The calimari fritti was rubbery and the marinara sauce had the consistency of passata and was extremely bland. I ordered the bucatini all'amatriciana and it tasted like barbecue. They didn't use pancetta, it tasted like hickory smoked bacon. Amatriciana is supposed to be sweet, tomatoey and spicy. But there was no tomato taste to it at all, it wasn't spicy and the bowl was filled with grease. My husband had the tagliatelle, which also seemed like it was swimming in grease. The good thing is the pasta for both dishes was cooked perfectly. The waitress kept correcting our pronunciation of the dishes, which was irritating and made me self-conscious. And the ambience overall was a 1990s banquet hall.
Dinner here was fine, but nothing special to be honest. The wine was decent, but the food was inconsistent. We went to celebrate my husband bday and it was a very nice play with friendly staff. Good wine selection and their pink sauce is delicious. Their Tiramisu was great and it was free because of his bday! I will return to this place definetely.
