We love coming here! The atmosphere is casual and relaxed with an ambiance that satisfies a need for a night out. During the holidays, be sure to make a reservation, as the place is very popular with the downtown crowd. There is an endless variety of beer choices along with a full bar for cocktails as well. Wine is also on the menu! The food is carefully prepared and hits all the right taste buds. Be prepared to open your wallet, as the menu prices are on the high side. However, if the Belgian atmosphere and refreshments sound good to you, this place will not disappoint. We have decided to make it our weekly hangout! Vegetarian options: There are dishes with pasta, chicken, and seafood. Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome, but I did not notice any high chairs. There is not a separate kids menu.
Trappe Door is absolutely amazing. Every single time I go, I get quality food and exponential service. The Steak Frites are extraordinary, and so are the Lemon Crepes. It’s genuine Belgian food. It’s expensive, and worth every penny. Definitely visit.
I have been to Belgium and visited the famous Le Trappist and this place instantly brought me back. Same vibe and feel minus the cavern lol. They even had all the imported Belgian beer including Le Chouffe which was one of my favorite and I have not seen anywhere. The beef tartar was delicious as well as the short rib. Its on the pricier side for everything but other than that it was great.
