Tootsie's At The Stanford Barn

It should be open on weekends as it used to. The pandemic is not what it was when it stopped functioning on weekends. UPDATE: After the prompt response, I fully understand it's not easy with personnel. I love Tootsies and didn't know about the new place - will definitely try it out! UPDATE 2: I have to reduce stars. Italian place not knowing how to make and serve espresso, particularly when SPECIFICALLY requested short, ristretto, AND for here, it's absolutely inexcusable. Served in huge plastic cups more suitable for soup, no porcelain, no small spoons, the "espresso" inside is just brown water with a huge surface area. Disgusting. Paid for nothing and when told the personal, they didn't do anything to amend! Ruined the whole experience.

The seating and atmosphere was nice! But the food was bland, no salt.. Tasted ok after requesting some salt. Maybe my expectation was really high.. Until food came out it was all good..

wow, where do I begin - nasty burger with strange seasoning, sloppy greens thrown onto the side (about 4 cups, no fries). Also, the chicken sandwich was very unpleasant, dry and plain, with a bunch of greens on the side. Sloppy. when you charge $30 for a nasty sandwich and burger, you must deliver, but you didn't. The village pub, House on first, and especially Alvarado street Brewery in Monterey, they have very good burgers and fries. This place seems to be of very low quality. 4.4 rating? Never.
