I grew up about 2 miles away from Tony Packo's, and I met 2 of my childhood friends there since I now live in North Carolina. They had plenty of service folks on shift. The young lady that greeted me just inside the door told me that they only had cafeteria style service at the time or I could sit at the bar. We all had the internationally known Packo's hot dog, and none of us had any complaints. The atmosphere here here is great. You can browse the walls for hot dog buns signed by all kinds of famous folks. There's also a souvenir shop where you can buy t shirts and other memorabilia. Parking: The on premises parking is pretty limited unless you are handicapped. There is free parking on the street and a free parking lot across the road. Wheelchair accessibility: There is 1st floor accessibility accessibility through the console street door. However, the restrooms are on a mezzanine.
My hotdog came with chili, bbq sauce and french fries on it, and coleslaw to put in it! It was the Polish Boy hot dog - a winning combination. There are signed buns all over the walls, a gift shop with t-shirts, pickles, chili, sausages, and other goodies. Really glad we went. It's huge inside and boy was it busy! Super fast service, though. Friendly and helpful staff!
This was a trip to honor my dad who was a fan of MASH. the service was excellent and the food was amazing. And my server was absolutely right- the ice cream on the apple strudel was some of the best I've ever had. Don't miss out on the dumplings! Dine in: Yes Outdoor seating: Yes Takeout: Yes … More
