Tomato Pie!! There's a reason they are named after their signature dish. Savory, flavorful with just a hint of sweet from the flaky crust. Charming old building that has retained much of the original details. If I was being picky, my only complaint was the dinnerware. Plastic (I'm sure it was some kind of eco - friendly material) is not my idea of cleanliness and hygiene. I don't use plastic in my home and I don't want to use it in a restaurant either.
I've lived near downtown Lititz for a long time. Ex-hubby and I used to have breakfast here often. Today, I stopped in for lunch and was not disappointed. I was solo so I took a seat at the counter. I was promptly greeted and placed my order, the southwest grain bowl with chicken. My food came out quickly. My order was hot and looked good. It tasted even better. The portion size was just right for lunch. It bugs me when the portions are too big for one meal especially when I'm running errands and have no way to store left overs. The price was reasonable and the staff were all accommodating and friendly. Highly recommend.
We came here this morning for our anniversary. Our server Cassie was super friendly, and the atmosphere was amazing! We sat outside and the music was some kind of oldies jazz, just PERFECT for such a place, and the tomato pie, quiche, and maple french toast was some of the best we’ve ever had, not to mention the pumpkin pie lattes!! Definitely recommend this place and we will be back again with our friends!
