Have been coming here for years and food was always good. Lately I have noticed that every time I order a Palomilla steak for lunch or for breakfast, the bistec a caballo, they add this "sauce" on top of it. It is kind of a GARLIC, WITH LEMON, AND ONION strong flavor that basically take away the meat flavor... !? I have asked them NOT to put that sauce on it as it doesn't taste good. Not, they brought me that breakfast bistec a caballo, but with that stinky smell to garlic, lemon and onions... Like it was a ceviche... !? I told them I didn't want it, and ordered something else. But the managed to charge me for that plate I didn't eat. So, watch out when ordering any plate with meat there. All the other plates are great, delicious, BUT, It seems to me that something is wrong with their meat that even if you ask them not to put that "sauce" on it they use it. Like to cover up a smell or a flavor, with that strong garlic, lemon, onion sauce. Thank you.
Ate here a bunch of times when I lived in The Shores. The food was usually good, depending on the dish, the day of the week and who was in the kitchen. Service is spotty--depending on the day of the week...and you get it. On this visit, we actually had a very good server who was attentive and practiced her English. Apparently I ate something completely forgettable, breakfast platter Cubano with cheap packaged ham. I had cafe Cubano. Pan Cubano. Bring your own flyswatter Cubano. That's all about this place, folks. Sorry. I wasn't into reviewing it.
First of all, Cuban coffee is the best style of coffee there is, and I'll fight you over that ???? As someone who works third shift it is sometimes hard for me to adjust my schedule when I'm on vacation, so at 3:30am I was looking to see what places were open early to get some coffee. When I saw this place is open 24 hours a day it was like a blessing from the gods. The service was friendly and the food was very good. When I asked for hot sauce she said she had already put some in the bag ❤️
