This Is It! Southern Kitchen & Bar-B-Q

This location doesn’t live up to the franchise standard. All of the food was greasy—the rib tips, the rice, and the cabbage. The banana pudding was underwhelming. The bananas were old & brown and there was hardly any of the marshmallow topping on it. The cup of baked beans looked more like a cup of chili and was also greasy. I’m not sure who the cook is at this location but y’all should consider replacing them. For whatever reason, the cook has confused soul food with greasy, fast food with no flavor. The only good things were the cornbread and the drink. I’d rather drive an hour to the Camp Creek location.

I am giving 2 stars purely on the customer service and banana pudding, bc both were good. However, I cannot say the same for our 2 entrees. $35 for oxtails….and there are only FOUR on the plate, tough and fatty. I ordered the salmon, it was a NO. Not even the green beans were good. We typically go to the camp creek location which is clean, great variety, and great service. The Marietta location was a big letdown, and a waste of money. $85 for dinner for two that neither of us enjoyed.

Really disappointed after my recent visit. Have patronized this establishment several times before, but it has been 2 years due to COVID. A management change has obviously taken place. Ordered a veggie plate and nothing, I repeat NOTHING, lived up to the This Is It standard I’m accustomed to. Very bland taste for veggies. However, their cornbread was very good. Not enough to make me return though. Going forward, it looks like it’ll be the Camp Creek locations only.
