Been in laguna most of my life. I used to tend bar at ocean Avenue brewery, which was an icon here in laguna. The wharf replaced laguna beach brewery and LB brewery replaced Ocean Avenue Brewery. We decided to try it out. It was dead even tonight, which is a Saturday evening over the 4th of July weekend. We tried it anyway. We ordered the clams, oysters on the half shell, clam chowder and deviled eggs. OMG I’m still sick to my stomach hours later. It was terrible to say the least! Everything we tried was the worst thing we’ve ever had. We’re actually laughing about it. Tge server was great but the ambience was terrible also. They turned the place into an ugly looking night club. OAB was never beautiful but it wasn’t ugly. Now it’s weird and distasteful. The vibe sucked. Definitely not the chill, beach vibe expected that laguna deserves. They played trans music the whole time and it was just not a good experience. Bummed me out. This place won’t last long. Hopefully. Definitely don’t t

I loved this place, was the best king crab I’ve had. But the last few times I’ve been here were disappointing. And this last time was VERY disappointing. 75 for 1 lb of king crab legs, which wasn’t my problem it was the fact that it was not fresh, the crab meat was spongey, had a taste of old frozen seafood. You know that taste of old fish, that’s what it tasted like. Owner didn’t even apologize. I didn’t ask for a discount, more legs, or refund. I simply just wanted the owner to acknowledge my disappointment. He didn’t. Will not return.

I really wanted to like this place. Every other seafood place in town was either closed or no longer taking in patrons. We ordered several combo meals and was told each meal was $30. We asked the server after receiving the check and he told us it was $35 per combo. The check came in at $49 each! When we told him the math doesnt add up he tells us $49 each was exactly what we were told. I guess when they set prices at "Market Price" they can make up prices as they go. We ordered a dozen oysters on the half shell; they were tasteless and definitely not fresh. Several still had chunks of ice in them.. not fresh but frozen. If you're just looking for a place to drink stop by. If you're looking for quality seafood skip this place.
