The Wee Chippy

This place was *easily* the best place for fish and chips I have *ever* been to. And yes, I *have* been to many, MANY places in London -- this place is *better*. The fries were perfection. The fish was *also* perfect. I had the two piece fish and chips with fire roasted garlic as topping, and chipotle ketchup and tartar sauce as my sauces. Service was quick, and the cashier was really kind and willing to explain each menu item -- which I really appreciated. I hate to say that I do not recall her name, but she was a young-ish woman with red curls. Much kinder than the other places on this strip that I visited. I cannot praise them for their low prices. But I cannot fault them for the price either. This is not the cheapest place ever, but it was *definitely* worth it. Also bear in mind, seating is outdoors and *limited*. So be ready to make a takeout order if necessary. 100/10 will definitely go again.

A little hole in the wall that serves fries and seafood classics. I had the fried calamari with garlic fries… the portion was large, the calamari was ok but the fries were extra cooked and some of them were even black and a bit old, for a place that sells “fresh hand cut fries” I was a bit disappointed.
