The Village Squire (West Dundee)

Complimentary popcorn and amazing service! Our waitress Mellisa was amazingly entertaining, atmosphere is very cozy, food and drinks are tasty! What else fo you need?

Went after a show at the Rockhaus and sat on their patio. Located along the Fox River,the Village Squire Restaurants have been in the Fox Valley area since the 70's. Huge menu appetizers,sandwiches,pizza and dinners..known for their ribs. Full drink menu known for their Mai Tais. We were seated promptly and service was spot on. I wish I had gotten the server's name. Our group only wanted appetizers,drinks and a few sandwiches. Good beer selection on tap. Started with the Sriracha Bourbon wings which were good in size,not overcooked and the sauce was fantastic. Also ordered the Italian Beef Rolls and was disappointed. They were supposed to be Italian beef with cheese and giardiniera wrapped in a crispy wonton. Instead they came meatball style and the filling was finely ground together. Tasty but not what was described on the menu. Comes with a horseradish cream sauce. Plus,why give an odd number of meatballs when sharing? Probably would not get it again. Decent place for dinner and a drink although it can be a little hit or miss. The building is getting old and suffering from a lack of cleaning (dust and cob webs) and disrepair (damaged stained glass, graffiti scratched onto walls etc.) Servers are also hit or miss. Some are very attentive and others not so much. Food is decent but nothing to write home about. Parking: Might have to park down the street as the parking lot can fill up
