The Surf Bar

Absolutely love the Surf Bar on Memorial. Troy, the manager has my order punched in before I walk in the door to order. The acai bowls are to die for. The best in town. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Vegetarian options: They offer vegetarian and vegan options, and everything is gluten free.

The food is pretty good. I was disappointed though because for some reason Google says they have a drive-through and even somebody in the reviews said that they have a drive-through but they do not have a drive-through. Otherwise I tried the pitella and it was ptetty good. I bought the kid’s size and they gave me plenty. I was surprised that the kid’s bowl was so big. Four stars

I stopped giving the Surf Bar my money when I discovered what the owners are really like. They seem to care more about opening more stores and making money than doing the right thing by their employees. They had the opportunity to prove they had some integrity when they discovered how their store manager was treating her employees. They couldn’t do it. The manager is still there and the employees are dropping like flies. High turnover isn’t a good thing. They have a mission statement they don’t uphold, which is a huge disappointment. As far as their products, I have never tried a smoothie there I liked. The bowls are good (minus the bland granola), but I can satisfy my açaí cravings elsewhere.
