The Ruck

We were weaving up and down the streets of Troy, looking for a place to eat. We saw The Ruck and passed it. Eventually, since we didn't see anything else we wanted, we decided to just go to The Ruck. OMG... so here's the thing. The food was too good. It was just a bar. We figured it was going to be just pub food (which is yummy, but still.. kinda JUST good...) Not even kidding you. This food was THE BEST food I've had in a restaurant in years. Maybe longer. Maybe the best. We got Ecuadorian Bao Buns and the Roxanne Burger. The bao buns were possibly the best thing I've ever eaten. I could go on and on. But seriously, just go there.

Sometimes you sit across from the kitchen and have the disadvantaged viewpoint of watching the chef/cook handle all the food ungloved, eat his lunch over the line, wipe his hands on his shirt, fill the celery bucket with the same dirty hands he just ate his chicken wings with and into the same dirty water he’s put his hands into numerous times, and you know you’ll never eat there again. He also wiped his hands and mouth on a kitchen rag and then wiped the counter with it. How do you not know better, Ruck? I’m disgusted by your lower than low standards. Don’t EAT here.
