My cocktail was well balanced and tasty which is why I am giving 3 stars. The food was mediocre and overpriced. My chicken biscuit was bland at best, the biscuits and gravy were dry and somehow didn’t have much gravy. This isn’t southern food if they can’t make a decent biscuit and fried chicken…
Hostess was pleasant. Server was not attentive or seemed overworked. From order to food arriving it took 50 minutes, with no updates provided. Food was average, almost disappointing for reviews read before choosing this restaurant. Sandwich (pictured) was sloppy. Turkey was good. Meatloaf was average ( pictured).
The Porch Restaurant & Bar is some of the best southern cooking I’ve ever had. Very genuine and tasty. All of the staff is friendly and very helpful. The shrimp Po’ Boy here is the best I’ve ever had by a long shot. I also got the beignets and was not disappointed. There appear to be a lot of good food options. They serve brunch daily and there is no shortage of drinks. It’s worth your time to stop by and try. You won’t be disappointed.
