The Original Pancake House

I sat in the corner booth at the Original Pancake House nursing my hangover with black coffee and an unlit cigarette. The restaurant entrance opened and I looked up. She walked through the door like a tigress walks into a Burmese orphanage — strawberry blonde and legs for hours. No dame her age could afford a coat like that, and the kinda makeup she had on gave me a good idea how she got it. She had bad news written on her like a headline from October '29. "Take a load off sweetheart", I said and pointed to the empty seat across from me. She sat down and ordered the Huevos Rancheros with M&M pancakes. "Guess I was wrong about you 'toots; this food is delicious" I said. She told me to give the place 5 stars. Who was I to argue?

I'd like to start out by saying that I've been living in Fort Lauderdale since 1998 and I started visiting this location when they 1st opened up, I find it sad to see how this location has gone downhill on the inside as far as upkeep and cleanliness I went there today with somebody we both ordered some breakfast mine came out at room temperature or colder. Which I guess I could live with... what was really bothered me were all the dead flies on the window sill next to me which were clearly and plainly visible to anybody who had eyes and I just couldn't understand how the associates could sit somebody down at a table Where the dead insects were so visible The dust on the booth back behind me was Horrible it seems like no one has cleaned or picked up a rag or a vacuum dust Pan and broom in this location for weeks and weeks a simple damp rag passed over the window sill and seat back would have done wonders I've included pictures as proof. Very very disappointing ????... *** (update)

It was very good but it was very pricey for a breakfast. Service was quick. And even more importantly the Bathrooms were clean.
