The Original Egg

Nice brunch place. We were surprised to be seated right away with no wait. Orange juice is freshly squeezed from a cool machine. I was a little surprised that the skillet entree didn’t actual come in a skillet.

Brianna'a Cookie Butter French Toast: that was amazing. Must eat. Brandon’s Fiesta Skillet: Delicious. It didn't have chorizo as advertised, and when we told our server she checked with the kitchen and was evidently also surprised to learn they were out. She gave us a slight discount for that. Biscuit with gravy: That gravy was amazing, we wound up taking some home. Jerry's Blue Banana Pancake: Looks amazing with that massive size, I've never seen a pancake with that large a circumference. Tasted typical. Our server Melanie was great, attentive, friendly, and generous in letting us take home coffee (it was nearly closing time and she said it would have been poured out otherwise).

Really great atmosphere with a slow pace. Fresh squeezed orange juice, hot coffee and pretty good mimosas make for a nice start for breakfast. The food was delicious! Take a shot on the corned beef hash and the biscuits and gravy - you might want to take a nap afterwards, but 100% worth it! Glad we made the stop!
