Good local restaurant with fast service and good lunch specials. The parking lot gets pretty full at lunch time so be prepared to wait for someone else to leave or come early or after lunch rush. Came here multiple times while in Raleigh for training and all times the food was good, plenty, and hot. They serve standard American fare with great choices of BBQ, fried dishes, and so forth.
The food is so good that they have a drive thru lane causing traffic, the indoor full, and the external take out running 30 minutes behind. Everybody was wanting some of their food today!
Wanted some proper down home NC BBQ, and this place offered the perfect experience. Perfect chopped barbecue great choice of sides and hush puppies. Banana pudding was great too. Got a pound of pig to take back to the northeast too. My new favourite place around Raleigh, anywhere in the city tends to be far too hipster, and my previous favourite on Poole road shut down years ago.
