The Mantel Wine Bar & Bistro

Mashed potatoes had no flavor. Just potatoes. A little garlic and maybe some butter and seasoning would have been great. Steak was ordered medium and was pretty rare. Wanted mussels but they were out of mussels and scallops. Ordered a cocktail before dinner and was halfway through dinner before got it. Also ordered a glass of wine that had to remind him of. Website says chef specials for land and sea. Only a sea special. The food was very good. Sea bass absolutely delicious

Severely disappointed. Party of 3. Two of us had the filet and one had the ribeye. I don’t think it even had salt or pepper. Absolutely no flavor. I can honestly say I’ve never had a steak that bad at a restaurant. The “whipped” potatoes were INSTANT potatoes. I wish I was lying or exaggerating, but I’ve had Instant potatoes enough to know those were definitely just that. The best part of the entire experience were the Andes mints on the way out.

We were really pleased with this place. We had the salmon and snapper. Both were very good. We also had the shrimp bruschetta and the crab cakes for appetizers. These as well were great!
