The Malt Shop

Like taking a step back in time, old school malt shop. Walk up to the window and order from the incredibly polite high school employees. Concretes, sundaes, sno-cones and more with enough topping options you could probably concoct a zillion unique delicious options. Break away from the faceless corporate froyo joints and peep this place. Lots of parking and picnic benches all over the place so you can hang with the family and enjoy a Heath hot fudge and caramel sundae topped with pecans. That’s what I did. They also have a grill with cheeseburgers, onion rings, and other grill staples, but I skipped it.

My husband & I celebrated our 40th Anniversary in St. Louis, and The Malt Shop was one of the places we stopped at, for some Ice Cream. The staff was super sweet and the Ice Cream was very delicious. We ordered the Turtle treat..very very good!

Order 2 concretes to take home. Received one right away, the second one I had to wait another 10 minutes for in 93 degree heat , while the other one melted. I told them about the melted one, but they did not seem to care and closed the window on me. I tossed it and walked away. Wasted 15.00 dollars for nothing. This place is not worth it. Will not patronize this place anymore. Will be going back to Ted Drew's they make the best concretes.
