Husband was craving some real soul food. We decided to order take out because we are traveling with four pups. Food was ready within the specified time. Gator bites tasted just like chicken. It was fresh and delicious. The seafood platter will easily feed two people. Portions where very generous and all was fresh. Although the menu said homemade lemonade I got what tasted like country time lemonade. Other than that I would definitely be coming back for the small cat Étouffée as it was sold out. Place was pretty nice and the staff was very friendly.
What a treat! They were EXTREMELY busy as soon as we sat down. There were only 2 servers who were clearly overwhelmed. It took a while for us to be acknowledged once we sat down, but they got it together. They start you off with a small sampler which my family devoured. My husband is Creole, so he’s a tuff judge, but he loved his Shrimp Étouffée. They even give you a small bowl of seconds! We also got jambalaya (which both girls loved) and the catfish & shrimp platter, which I found VERY FLAVORFUL. My oldest really enjoyed the seafood gumbo while my youngest really enjoyed the chicken & sausage. We all loved the fries too! All the meals we got also came with a few small pieces of buttered bread. Now, the beignets…we’re no stranger to them. When we see them on the menu, we order them. MY GOODNESS! They was no sauce (which at first we were bummed), but once we ate them, we saw why they didn’t have any. They were delicious! I’m not that big of a sweets person, but I ate an one by myself!
First off .. customer service is excellent.. the food was perfect... As a first time customer.. they give you a little sample tray to try some of the gumbos.. jambalaya.. bisque..
