I haven't been here in years. Me and my friends use to go here all the time. Today I got the snowfish super scooner and it was bland, it didn't taste like it use to. The batter on it was like it was in a package and they put too much batter on the fish, they also fried it hard. The fish wasn't light like it use to be, the slaw was not good like it use to be and their tarter sauce wasn't the same either. The whole dinner wasn't good at all. $31.79 just wasted. Never going back and I will tell my friends and family about my bad experience. Need to go back to the old recipes. Wow so disappointed????
We use to come every Saturday night, because it was my parents favorite place. However, with the change of the slaw recipe, we just don’t look as forward to coming and we definitely don’t get the slaw. The other thing is the host who seats. I wish he would smile. I cringe every time I think about going in and seeing him. Also, we came in with 5 people last week. His immediate response was that’s a problem. There were only 4 other tables with customers and I saw at least 3 waitresses. Then he sat us down. Just so negative.
I took my friend here for a birthday dinner. We got the oyster cocktail and shrimp cocktail for appetizers. The oysters came all in a bowl together and looked like a bowl of snot. The shrimp cocktail was $8.50 for 6 small shrimp. We stayed to see how the entrees were after being disappointed by the appetizers. I got the fish and chips which were good, but the hush puppies were hard and chewy. My friend got the crab cakes which were inedible and sent back and taken off the check. The waitress was sweet, but still tried to charge us $5 for a side of Mac and cheese that wasn’t even eaten that was supposed to come with the crab cakes that we sent back. Overall a disappointing experience.
