In the past, I have had good experiences at The Halal Shack. The same can not be said about last night. The customer service was nothing but appalling. I walked up to the counter to place an order and was ignored by the staff behind the counter. The girl behind the counter served several customers behind me in line. Agitated, I waited for about 5 minutes until they decided to serve me. On top of this, the girl who was serving me placed spicy chicken into my rice bowl, even though I had not asked for that. This incident was completely unacceptable and must be addressed. **Update (April, 2022)** Ever since the incident previously described, I have returned to this location and have not had any issues. In my experiences the employees have been friendly and courteous. It seems as if that this was an isolated incident that was quickly addressed by management. Therefore, I have adjusted my review from 1 star to 4 stars. Thank you, management, for addressing the issue appropriately.
The food was so fresh and tasty. Loved the white sauce but you have to ask for both hot and white sauce, that really makes the dish. The wraps are great for grab and go lunch. I can’t wait till they open one up to the public.
Extremely dissatisfied with halal shack this time around I ordered a nanarito but they did not have fries at the time. This is usually not a problem since they ask you to wait for the next batch but this was not the case that day. I was charged full price for nanarito + fries but did not receive fries. Normally this would not be an issue either but the staff working were extremely rude about it. If I had known before hand that they didn’t have them and I would have to pay full price regardless I would have ordered a different item.
