The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill - Orlando, FL - Skyhouse

I’ve come here numerous times, even at different locations but this last saturday, I visited the downtown one and was disappointed to see such a great restaurant take a dive in terms of food quality and atmosphere. The place was completely empty, every single table was dirty, our food came out in less than 5 minutes after we ordered which instantly made me think how could they have prepared two dishes this quickly? As soon as I started eating I got my answer. My plate looked sad and the falafel was stale. The chicken skewers my mom ordered were bone dry and overcooked, They definitely were not fresh. It was so bad, we couldn’t eat 1/3 of the food and left. There were two employees working in the back and they seemed totally checked out. $33 dollars for two plates that went to the trash. Don’t recommend this place any longer.

Our visit to this Mediterranean restaurant was an unfortunate experience. Upon entering, we were greeted by standoffish staff, setting a negative tone for the evening. The issues extended to the food; my gyro came with two pieces of pita bread casually thrown onto the plate, with a pile of hard, semi-cold meat in the middle. This is a far cry from how a gyro should be presented and tasted. Felicia's "Great Greek Plate" was also misleading, as the rice shown in the menu photo was absent and we were informed it would cost extra. The disappointment was amplified by the $45 we spent, which is a significant amount for such poor quality and service. At this price point, one would reasonably expect much better food presentation, temperature, and taste. Instead, what we got felt closer to a fast-food experience, but at a fine-dining cost. Great Greek Gyro (3G). The freshly made soft Pita, ample meat & takziki sauce was wonderful. Did earring outside in the shade make a difference? Yes indeed. Very relaxing lunch. Excellent service for me & restrooms ADA accessible.
