Super friendly staff and all the classic Jewish deli choices and combos. Not Kosher, ie: cheese on the meat sandwiches etc., but absolutely fantastic food none-the-less. Pastrami, corned beef, lox, etc. Turkey Pastrami... to die for! Matzo Balls the size of a softball (literally! no exaggeration) in some of the best chicken noodle soup I've ever had! We took our 95 year old Jewish, family patriarch there for Father's Day, and he was like a kid in a candy store. I haven't seen him eat like that in months. Keep up the great work! Parking: A little hard to spot without a GPS, but plenty of close parking spaces.

Everybody knows by now that I love good food. What few people know is that I grew up on Jewish soul food. My mom was a cook at a Jewish catering company where she bought home some of the most delicious fare. So, here’s the skinny. If you want some real good deli and some wonderful motzah ball soup and great pastries (they sell cake by the SLAB), you want the Essen Room. Lots of folks chatting and eating. Great pickle bar too!

This is an awesome delicatessen. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Great customer service! The best place to get corned beef, pastrami, turkey, shrimp salad. The desserts are delicious and pickle bar has tasty selections. The catering is excellent as well. The sandwich trays I recently ordered were perfect and came with sides, pickle tray, coke desserts, paper products. The guests loved the food!
