The Desmond Restaurant

DONT SLEEP ON THIS MICHELIN GEM. Could be Michelin starred if it wasn’t so new, just opened late last year. AMAZING speakeasy quality cocktails, excellent service, and very delicious combinations and high quality fresh pasta and meat. Miles took excellent care of us tonight. The service is definitely Michelin quality and the chefs are too. I had the beef tartare and rabbit bolognese gnocchi, I was full. My wife had the spaghetti oxtail ragu and that flavor was out of this world. I will be trying that one next!

I have been to the Desmond twice so far and both times have been wonderful. The food is fresh and fantastic. I love the different fresh dips especially the Jerusalem Artichoke dip. Service has been great, very friendly staff. The atmosphere is nice, but a little more laid back and casual. The bar is very pretty.

Took myself out to dinner here to pick me up after a stressful work day, and it was the perfect treat! Incredible food, drinks and service. I got the bread service with the artichoke dip, the rabbit gnocchi, and the chocolate dessert (can’t remember the name). The drink was also so tasty. I’ll probably be back again before I leave San Diego.
