Delicious food, hospitable staff, romantic and warm ambiance, vintage vibes. I love horses and this place really fits the Derby themes. I came in for a dinner date night, and was surprised when I stepped inside. It may look lowkey from the outside, but the interior inside and the dining venues are terrific. Candle lit on every table, decorative horses and horseback racing gears, and a fire place really added to the antique atmosphere. Old-fashioned centurion yet sophisticated. There are plenty of parking, and it’s very easy to navigate. ????????????????❤️
Absolutely love the steak here. It's so tender and juicy not to mention full of flavor. It is nice that sides are included and you don't have to order a la carte. The shrimp is also full of flavor and good as well. The calamari did lack flavor and I wish it did have another sauce besides the cocktail sauce. The bar drinks could have been a bit more exciting and different then your traditional drinks especially for about $15 for a single "specialty" drink. I will definitely be making reservations when I come back.
It's always good. It's going to be renovated as part of a mixed use complex and word is they are going to not renovate but "deconstruct " the inside (somewhere, Derrida is digging). I just hope they keep the banquettes and the bar I'd heard about it and decided to go on a whim for a friend's birthday , a friend with whom I'd last gone to the Derby when the 2009 Breeders Cup had been at Santa Anita. Time flies s! We were double Lucky to get a table (albeit on the terrace) on short notice because it was taste of Arcadia, we used that prix fixe menu and it was a deal -- $75 for starter , entre, desert and servings of their tasty cheese bread. I had the prime rib, friendo had the bacon-wrapped filet mignon, both were very good, tho my prime rib was a little on the salty side. We both had the onion soup for starter-- still one of the best around-- and baked potato in the side. It was a good meal.
