The Dam Pub

We visited this spot for a quick snack during our road trip. A big advantage is that it was open on Christmas Eve. The food was brought very quickly. It wasn’t super good, but for a quick snack, it was decent. Especially considering the fact that this is a pub, and not exactly a restaurant. The employees are moderately friendly, helped us pick some food to buy for a dinner table at a friend’s house in the evening.

Are you kidding me?? This place is a freaking hidden gem that I hope everyone in Iowa and beyond has the chance to discover!! They were so welcoming when we walked in, the service was absolutely above and beyond amazing! The food was incredible! The salsa verde for starters was top notch! We had the fried avocado burger and the best dam chicken sandwich. Both were so flavorful and incredible! They have a top notch menu and a very talented kitchen staff! The environment was clean and so fun! 80’s and 90’s music and vibes! We will absolutely be back!!

Interesting place! The decor is 80s and 90s decor. Pleasant atmosphere! We tried it during the Saturday Brunch time frame. The service was outstanding and the food was really good. My wife got the Bucket of Mimosas which is a bottle of Champagne with glasses of orange, pineapple, and cranberry juice. I ordered the Where is my Dam Breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes and toast. My wife got the breakfast sandwich.
