Why hasn't anyone told me about this great place? I have been visiting Columbia city for years and didn't know about the great catfish! Especially loved the tartar sauce; best I've ever had. Didn't have room for sweet potato pie, unfortunately.
I really liked the pork chops. Mac N Cheese was not my favorite and kind of disappointing as I came for mac and cheese. Greens were tasty but they also felt rewarmed and not fresh. Peach cobbler was entirely too sweet for me and I would order it again but only if I had more people eat it with. These are large servings and that I could appreciate for sure.
Black-owned and locally founded, The Comfort Zone did NOT disappoint. I had the meatloaf, mac and cheese, and yams and I have ZERO complaints! The meatloaf was the best I've ever had from a restaurant, hands down. I enjoyed the layer of baked cheese on top of my macaroni, it was perfectly crunchy. The yams were very sweet and rich, a perfect dessert for a comfort food meal. I can't wait to eat more food from here, and I will definitely be recommending The Comfort Zone to my friends and family!
