Loved the food we got from the truck a few years ago at the first Rizz Show Eat and Treat so we had to try the brick and mortar. Equally as amazing. Great staff. Even better food. And it's in such a cute little historic part of town!! We'll definitely spend the weekend next time!
Ate here for lunch the second day after it opened (5/2/19). Speedy service, friendly staff. Delicious food, even though I think $7.50 for a specialty grilled cheese is a bit on the pricey side. There are only about a dozen tables inside, 2 tables on the front porch, and 2 tables in the front patio. So plan to wait for a table to open up if you come during a busy time. The only downside, for me, were the stairs to get in the restaurant. I am disabled, so the stairs were a challenge. But, the food was so good, it was worth it!
I was reallllllly looking forward to this place. I was expecting a darling little restaurant in Kimmswick, MO, and so excited about the Portobello mushroom-Brie soup they advertise. I just had 85% of my stomach surgically removed a couple of weeks ago and that soup sounded deee-vine! Forget it. Didn't have it. My only soup choices were Chicken Tortilla (my stomach screams ouch!) or some kind of tomato. NO. So, no choices for me. They do have good iced tea! Like a fool, I ordered mac-and-cheese. Can't eat that! It's fine if you're 4 years old, they even serve it with a plastic spoon. It's a nickel's worth of poorly cooked inappropriate Cavatelli pasta with a dime's worth of horribly bland white cheese sauce. About a cup of the earth's cheapest food for $4.50! I was insulted! For that price I could feed spectacular M&C to the entire 8th Air Force picnic! My daughter got the "Fat Pig" sandwich, BBQ pulled pork with M&C on toast. She loved it. No chips, nothing. Not even a pickle slice.
