The Cats

The Cats is a wonderful little restaurant/bar that punches way above its weight class in terms of great food(BBQ, steaks, etc.), excellent service, and good entertainment. While getting there is an adventure (right off Hwy 17 just outside of Los Gatos), you'll hate leaving the place after dinner. Rustic, cozy, and pleasant, The Cats is a hidden gem that hits all the right notes. Its a "must" for people who love tasty homestyle food in a relaxed atmosphere.

Bear in mind we went on Sunday of fathers day but the staff and food preparers were overwhelmed. After waiting 1/2 hour to sit it was another 20 minites until a drink and food order was made. Then 15 more to have the drinks served. After we were done with the drinks a 1/2 hour later, we got another drink and then the food 10 minutes later. We been there almost 1.75 hours before we finnaly got to eat. Now the food was fine but they were out of many items. Our waitress offered a premium item for the price of what we ordered. The item prices were reasonable I thought. I can't blame our waitress as she looked like she was doing the work of two wait stations. I think it will be a while until I come back.

Took some family from out of town for dinner. Its very historic feeling almost felt haunted maybe. Anyways I ordered smoked chicken and there it was enough for 2 people. The bartender/server was very nice and attentive and got made us copies of the menu because we couldn't do the qr scanner. I like that they serve root beer floats for your dinner. Two real non issues to mention. The ladies room was very musty smelling but clean and they put cinnamon on the cornbread which didn't go well with the rest of the food.
