Had the smothered fried pork chops, collard greens and candied yams. Was so good, just like home cooking but much better than my cooking! I definitely wasn't disappointed for sure. The ladies were very polite!! Place was very clean. I will definitely be going back for sure! So with that said, I personally would highly recommend!! ????
After moving from North Carolina some years ago, I have not been able to find GOOD soul food. Everything has been decent-average. The Candied Yam meet and beat my expectations. The Collards were delicious, the catfish was superb, and the candied yams brought me back to family owned soul food restaurants down south. Seriously a 5 star review isn’t enough for this place. Although I got takeout, the inside had a farmhouse atmosphere.
I got a fish, chicken dinner. Fish was great. Chicken was good. I ask for all wings. They were tiny and she put a leg in place of a wing. Dressing and yams were delicious. Macaroni was not good nor the greens, had to many stems
