Went to the Boynton for the first time since the pandemic. Normally I would give this a 3-4 stars but it was just not goof. My boyfriend actually liked his tacos (said they were ok). Other than that I wasn’t impressed. I had poutine and there was hardly any gravy in it. It was edible but it was not what I paid for. Then, I had the fettuccine Alfredo. It was bland and had no flavor whatsoever. I had to add a ton of pepper and some salt to it so it would taste better. It was hard to eat. The bartender (we sat at the bar) never came over and asked us how our meals were and very inattentive. I had to ask him for another drink and my bf had to ask him for the bill. It was packed but not slammed. There were still seats at the bar available and he wasn’t running around. I think he could’ve done s better job. I was not impressed with this and hope this isn’t how it is next time I go.
Our two waitresses were really accommodating and made us feel quite welcome. Despite the fact that it was incredibly busy—as we had been warned—we were able to sit down right away and enjoyed being snuggled in among the other active patrons. Along with some beer and cocktails, we ordered the lobster risotto, bang bang shrimp, and blackened swordfish. The sushi and extensive seafood buffet were both excellent. We most certainly intend to return.
The Boynton is great! Awesome selection of New England beers on tap, great variety on their menu, and staff was very attentive and kind. Food came out fast! I had the burrata bowl. Super flavorful, large amount of food for the price and I appreciated that it was a nut free pesto because I have an allergy. I wish the bread would have come separately so it wasn’t so messy to cut. Also, I had the cookie sundae and it falls flat. The cookie wasn’t very sweet and was dense. Disappointing considering it’s a fairly simple dessert. Overall, a great experience and I would go back. Dietary restrictions: Allergy friendly, just tell your server you have an allergy and they are very accommodating
