Cesar's salad and the pizza was just fantastic, simple, fresh and just fantastic. I'm a vegetarian so not many options on the small menu (no longer serve the panini thats still on the menu) it's a small place and no big signs out front, and seems that's what they want=low profile. I've never eaten at a little Italian restaurant in Italy but this is what I'd envision. Vegetarian options: Not a big selection, especially if vegan but there's some options available to satisfy
This is an absolute must Italian small restaurant if you are visiting Austin. The vibe is fantastic and the wood fired pizza oven is center stage. We had the garden board and the mushroom pizza. I've lived and study in Italy and I can say without a doubt this was authentic cuisine that if I were to have shut my eyes I could have been in any small trattoria in Italy.
Visiting from the UK, I just had an amazing pizza! Ordered online, and picked up about an hour later (Tuesday evening) Delicious wood fired pizza, and you can really tell that the ingredients were authentic and fresh. I went for the pepperoni americano, with the take out option coming with a tub of grated parmesan and tub of chili flakes. Loaded with topping, and a really fresh, stretchy, and chewy dough, packed with flavour. I will say I waited a while over the alloted pick up time, but the server was fantastic the whole time. The pizza, all in, was just under $27 with 18% tip. Maybe a bit steep, but as with all the food I've eaten in Austin so far, worth it for the flavour and quality. I will return before heading back to the UK...
