Thai basil

Dropped in completely on a whim to try a new (to us) place. Very good service, and great selection of food. Definitely drop in and give them a try. Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian options, from appetizers to entrees, mostly centered around tofu and traditional recipes.

The ladies there were nice and attentive. Seemed to be locally owned restaurant. I went for lunch where they had $9.95 lunch options. I ordered the Thai Veggies and added shrimp for an upcharge. It comes with a hot & sour soup. Unfortunately I was not a fan. It was too hot (spicy hot) for me, but anyone that likes their food with a kick would probably enjoy it. The meal itself was nothing spectacular in terms of flavor. The restaurant is decorated with some Thai decor but could probably use a bit of touch-up. Bring in an older building it was beautiful with the exposed brick walls, but the painted walls had peeling paint. Bathroom: it was clean. They had 2 individual use bathrooms. The women's had 2 chairs and a credenza table to place your belongings on or have a spot for your kid(s) to sit

Our go to Thai place in Portsmouth. They will customize the spice level. I got the seafood hot pot with no spice. Normally it's 2 peppers on the menu. She was able to make it with zero peppers. Pot was volcano hot but no burning spices. Still good.
