Tex’s Chicken & Burgers

Used to like this spot, but this new night girl they hired is really bad, has messed up our orders and has a bad attitude. Please don’t allow people with bad customer service to ruin your business.

We love getting food from Texas. However, this is the second time we're coming here and their grill is closed. Their hours are listed as closing at 3:30AM every day except 4:30AM on Friday and Saturday. We came at 2AM and were told they only have fried chicken, and another time we came around 3AM on a weekend and was told it was too late. They never pick up the phone either, so how are we supposed to know when they decide to shut the grill? Not everyone lives 5 minutes away. I called the store in front of the worker and it rang. The worker told me they were busy. But they never pick up their phone. I worked in fast food before, I get it. Nobody likes last minute customers especially when the workers are cleaning and trying to go home. But closing the grill and starting cleaning 2 hrs before actual closing time, c'mon now. Either pick up the phone to inform your customers who actually go out of their way to inquire about hours, or just change your hours. Maybe add in a disclaimer, like

Honestly I am here routinely and it only was really difficult one time during the pandemic when it was just crowded as one of the few places open. The original flavor fried chicken is delicious. Corn also good. Mashed potatoes are kind of standard and the coleslaw is like home made like (neutral). I think the biscuits are fine. This place is reliable, the fried chicken and burgers and sandwiches taste good and the servers and staff are hard working and kind. It’s a great local friend chicken fast food spot!
