First time visitor and it all hit the spot. I ordered a bbq burger without green peppers and it was delicious. My son ordered the Mac n cheese burger and really liked it. The burgers are super fresh and not too long of a wait. The bacon cheese fries are to die for, they are a meal itself in my opinion. The staff greeted us immediately and let us know it was going to be a little wait (dinner time) which was understandable. The friendly service and quality food are a number 1 in the area. It is located in a convenience store/gas station, but there is a dining area to enjoy your meal. The party store has plenty of drinks to choose from for healthy and not so healthy options. (High sugar, sweeteners, and other artificial ingredients) It's a great stop and not too far from the airport or U.S Park.
Absolutely incredible. Everything was fresh and delicious. Opted to do a build your own burger with an assortment of toppings including bacon, mac and cheese bites, jalapeño poppers, onion rings and much more. The kicker was the two grilled cheese sandwiches for buns. Honestly felt my arteries clog as I ate but was worth every bite. Fries were nice and crispy and well seasoned.
Do not be fooled by the fact that this establishment is housed within a BP gas station. My meal at Tastee burger was nothing short of what they claim to sell, Tastee burgers. My friend was driving me to DTW airport on the day of a blizzard to catch my flight. We left early so we had time to stop for gas and get a nice lunch. Surprisingly, the dudes at Tastee burger were pumping out burgers as if the weather outside was warm and sunny. They were super welcoming and full of energy. The menu was very simple to navigate although I found it odd that they didn’t have prices listed. By recommendation of my friend, I got the knockwurst burger which had French fries, cheese, an egg, 3 types of halal meats, beef bacon, hot dog, and a burger patty a top a massive heap of Cole slaw and sandwiches between a beautifully golden brioche bun.
