Tavern On the Bend

Extremely disappointing meal at what was once a favorite. For starters, I was just informed tonight that the buffalo bites would not be returning, after being unavailable since OCTOBER, and will probably not be returning ever. Take it off the menu then! Secondly, what is with the $5.99 SIDE of fries? Came for Burger Week for a $7 "burger special", ended up being only $1 less than the regular priced burger since I wanted a SIDE of fries... for $6 apparently ???? Third, where exactly is the 5% food chain charges coming from? Who does that? This is on TOP of taxes added to the bill. Really. And lastly, when we tried to check out, we sat and watched our waitress on her phone and chatting up some buddies for 10 minutes before we had to shout at her to come take our bill. Seriously, this was a one and done visit. We won't be returning. All I really wanted was buffalo bites anyways...

This was my first time there and I had the Mac and cheese with goetta. It was very good and definitely filling. The leftovers were my lunch for the next day. Service was very good. It is a bar type atmosphere. We got there at 4 pm when they opened on a weeknight, so they weren't busy yet. I would recommend them. They had a nice menu, also offering different sandwiches and burgers. Parking: Smaller parking lot in front of the restaurant but a larger lot is just left of them.

Food was pretty medium not amazing not bad. Food prices are overpriced, and with an extra 5 percent surcharge charge on top it makes it even more at the end. For being as expensive as they are all the dishes are paper, silverware are plastic, cups are plastic throw away not what you would expect at these prices. Maybe if they swap out for dishes they wash then they can afford to cheapen prices.. and go green a bit more I can only imagine how much trash this place makes it must be awful for the environment ????. They do have decent portion sizes maybe slim them down a bit to adjust pricing. I ordered a half salad with chicken and it was about 15 dollars but it was really a full dinner salad in itself.
