Tavern 180

This place is exceptional! Most of the reviews I have read make no sense. People are always complaining that there is no quality dining in Ankeny and then when one opens, they judge it against what they have been complaining about all this time. This is a not bar food, this is fine dining with appropriate sized servings. Yes it is a bit more expensive, but the food and atmosphere are both exceptional. We have been there for drinks and appetizers a few times as well as dinner a few times and have been pleased with the quality every time. If you are looking to tie on the feed bag and over indulge, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a great date night experience or an enjoyable evening out with friends, then I highly recommend Tavern 180!

I don’t think I can say enough about the enjoyable experience I had at Tavern 180. Upon arriving, we did not know it was open. The restaurant looks closed until you go in. The atmosphere and music selection was absolutely great. We ordered martinis, food, and dessert and nothing disappointed. We spoke with the owner, who was extremely friendly, about things to do in the area. We appreciated his honesty and you could tell it was his genuine opinion and not the “Iowa Nice” everyone gives. We will be back and plan on making Tavern 180 a go-to for drinks.

Absolutely amazing place to eat and relax! Our waitress, Shira was the sweetest and never skipped a beat. Our drinks were always full, food was delicious, and we will definitely return!
