Taqueria El Torito

Food was not terrible, it just wasn't amazing. We ordered two dips and only received a tiny little container of chips. The food ordered through DoorDash was prepared as if the person is eating it immediately (sauces on top of fried foods) so many items we received were soggy. Oh, but one of the salsas we received was bad- it was rancid smelling. Sure enough, my friend who ate the salsa had terrible digestive issues after. Maybe the food is better if you eat at the restaurant.

Some of the best Mexican food we've had in the KC area. We moved here from San Diego and happened to be in KCK for a rugby game and needed a few things from the market and decided to have lunch while we were there. The salsas were delicious. We've found so many places in the area have really bland salsa and this was so good. I preferred the green, my husband liked the red. For lunch we share the flautas (rolled tacos in my world) and the quesabirria tacos along with a side of refried beans. The food was fresh with so much flavor. It was refreshing to have something similar to home.

Delicious food with great service. This is a very popular restaurant located within the grocery store; Supermart El Torito. But with it's own section. The food is very well prepared and flavored, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Not all speak or understand English. But there are always staff available who do. There are two seating areas within the restaurant. They are both kept clean. And food is prepared in a timely manner. While their tacos are very good, they have a very good sized menu. Which includes everything from typical Mexican restaurant dishes to seafood and steak plates. Everything I've had there has been good. It's located in a busy area with fairly limited parking space. Thus parking can be difficult to find when busy. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
