Tantawan Thai Kitchen

You know what is a delicious supper? An authentic Thai cuisine. So without further ado let’s begin this exciting food review. Tantawan Thai Kitchen is a large thai restaurant that offer a variety of Thai cuisine. It’s located in a large plaza in Garvey avenue in Rosemead. They have one other location in West Covina. We came here as a first time customer and dined-in for dinner. We were warmly greeted by a female host and ww as seated to table number #6. They have QR Menu on the table for easy access. We decided to order a thai iced tea, pad woon sen (thin glass noodles stir fry), and veggie egg rolls. The Thai stir-fried noodle dish made with glass noodles, egg, veggies tossed in a savory and slightly sweet pad woon sen sauce was warm, moist, tasty and very flavorful. Similarly, those veggie rolls were warm, crunchy and delicious especially when dipped in chilly sweet sauce. Thai iced tea was refreshing and not too sweet. Service was fast and on point. Their food is delicious and not-kidding spicy! The papaya in papaya salad appeared to be cut with a knife, not the shredder. It was flavorful! Loved the dry shrimps. Also re: the negative review below, I think it’s a custom to serve papaya salad with a wedge of cabbage, not shredded cabbage. My Thai mother in law does it the same way and I’ve seen it served like that in many other Thai restaurants. The fried rice was also really good and didn’t taste artificially flavored or too salty. Would love to come back to and try other things! Service was quick and friendly, restroom was clean. Parking lot available.

The food is very excellent and tasty. The portions are excellent as well. I am a heavy (somewhat) person that normally goes back for seconds and dis not feel the need to do so. I will be eating here more often. As to the spice level in the food when you order hot, it did not let me down. It was plenty spicy like I requested.
