Reviews for Tannery Row Ale House

We were surprised that there was a $25 cover charge per person to get in. We have been to 3 separate Suwanee Beer Fest events and rode the shuttle so that we could eat after the events. This time it seems that they changed the status and there was no way to tell? Anyway, we paid and are hopeful that the music is good. We ordered drinks and food and everything came really quick this time which was nice Everyone was pleased with the limited event menu. We would still come back but it would be nice if we knew in advance that there would be a cover charge.
Good friends of ours were our guests on. Monday night between 6-8. They drove from NC weekend with daughter down to see our new home in Buford before heading home to IN next day.. We know they are craft beer connoisseurs and foodies so wished to treat them to a fun and tasty meal. Sat in bar and food did not disappoint. Main Street in general in Buford does not disappoint ever.
I’d heard such great things about this spot, so maybe we just caught them on a really bad night? Nevertheless, it was terrible. No hostess. We were seated in back in the bar area with a waiter who was uninterested in being there and basically just ignored his three tables. Super slow. No energy at all. No refills. Several things on the menu weren’t available (brisket, ribs, fries). He brought the wrong food to the wrong tables multiple times. When he found out, he just switched the already touched food. He eventually just stood in the middle of the room calling out the names of the dishes waiting for someone to claim them. Simple requests were immediately forgotten (“I’m missing the Mac and cheese side, can I also get some barbecue sauce?” Next, he stands in the middle of the room shouting out “Mac and cheese?” But forgot the sauce.) several people complained about not getting any side at all. He vaguely mentioned something about the kitchen or something. The tables were poorly stocked
