Best Punjabi food around the area. Their Chicken curry is finger licking. It tastes just like the famous butter chicken we get in Punjab. They even included complimentary gulab jamun with our order which was really good ???? Would definitely order again.

Place was in an old diner which was cool. Walter said this used to be a diner town so a bunch of restaurants is in old diner setups. They had mild, medium, med-hot, hot, v-hot, vv-hot, vvv-hot as their spice options. And let me tell you ..... hot is HOTTTT so be careful with your spice level! - Lamb Samosas 2 pieces $6.95 more lamb than filling - Okra Bhindi Masala $14.95 usually don’t get okra but this was really good. Didn’t have the stickiness okra usually has - Chicken Biryanis $16.95 "hot" was soooo spicy - Garlic Naan $4.95 thicker than usual but still good - Mango Lassi $4.95 watery but the flavor was there

I love the buffet lunch served in Tandoor. The food is very good. Whenever I have friends from other cities visiting New Haven, I take them to Tandoor. I would have loved to give more stars because of the food. But the old man (owner) he is a bit rude. I wonder he does that with everyone or it was just me. But this happened for the third time in front of my friends. Every time I have been there, this man has spoken to me very rudely and it was very insulting to me. The young man (owner) he is very funny and nice. His hospitality is great. Overall, it’s a nice place, food is great, lots of varieties and options, desserts are awesome. You should definitely visit this place.
