My girlfriend and I are traveling and just randomly picked this place. The food was great! The egg roll was probably the best I've ever had. The beef was very tender and juicy, and full of flavor. Also, the man at the front counter was very polite and pleasant in conversation. Next time we travel through we will be coming again
Expensive, with a menu meant to gouge you for wanting variety. The food is a little on the salty side so you might ask for low salt. As a pacifican you kind of are forced to eat around a menu sometimes. There is not a lot of choice in the area so a place like this is something you need to tackle like a minefield. Somethings are good, some things are bad. Here are some highlights. Soups are awesome. Sweet and sour dishes are safe. Mushu and egg fu Yong are yummy. Lots of good chicken and veggies dishes. Salty dishes are overly salted, you won't need soy sauce. Weird egg rolls and fried stuff. Small portions. Especially the yummiest stuff. I wouldn't call them off but there is another Chinese spot with better food a few blocks down. Even so. You might need to go to the sunset if you want Chinese chinese. This place would be way better if the saltiness could be handled.
We had pork fried rice and honey chicken. The chicken was stringy and with grizzle and the pork in the fried rice had chunks of fat in with it. The dishes were prepared well but the quality of the meats were very poor. This combined with very high prices makes Tam’s get a generous two star rating.
