This place is amazing, the food is delicious. I am not the type of person to give bad reviews, however I would just like to give some insight on an employee that work for this establishment, she is young and I'm guessing it is her family that owns this spot so she would not know the importance of food safety. I went in about a week ago just to get some corn and I noticed that the young lady was finishing up with another guest before me, she never washed her hands and all she did was grab a crumbled pair of used gloves from under the counter and place them on her hands and started to prepare the food. Someone need to have a very detailed conversation with her about the importance of food safety or she will get someone sick because money is dirty and some people are nasty.

Prejuidce. Racist. While the food is good, the service and set up is horrible. I am from a city where Hispanics are the majority and I am the minority. This place is in Gary(I live here but heart is where home is). So I go in and I'm low-key happy to see my people. I mean packed with family, everyone staring judging with their eyes but that's normal I thought. The eye rolls and huffing n puffing for customers before by the TWO females made feel a way. Then I get there and order my food using correct dialect. They have "Mexican Corn" on the menu.(which is somewhat racist above the heads of the people of the city, I worked at a black owned establishment that called Elotes...Elotes. so they cutting off communication with customers by not having to explain what an Elote is...put Elote(Mexican corn) on the menu if you don't wanna talk to your customers) I ordered an Elote.
