Tacos Las Californias

This was our first time trying this place, at the recommendation of one of my husband's friends. You order at the counter and can either eat there (they have about 8 tables inside and a little seating area on the outside) or get your food to go. We ate there & both had the combo of the 3 Quesabirria Tacos. The meat tasted like a well-seasoned, juicy roast. The red hot sauce they keep in their cooler had a nice heat and great flavor, and their beef broth for dipping the tacos in had layers of delicious flavor. Definitely make sure you try the Agua fresca. We ordered these as we were leaving, since we saw so many people buy them. They're a sweet, fruit-flavored water and they're absolutely delicious! They have about 7 different flavors. I got the blackberry & my husband got the watermelon mixed with a little bit of the pineapple. We both loved them!

So first things first, my credentials for this? I’m Mexican… here we go. Small space, good food, authentic mexican but it’s defiantly a California mexican style. Had the Californian burrito. It’s delicious but make sure you’re hungry I was in a food coma after, the fries were heavy on top of the meat. The paletas were good too, but make sure you get it after your food so it doesn’t melt. The space itself is intended as a quick meal not so much of a sit and relax which is fine with me. You order at the front and take your food to the table. The patio outside is cute but too much traffic around. Great addition to the neighborhood.
