Taco Time

My biggest mistake was going in with the High expectations I had based on nostalgia. This was the first time eating at this fast food chain in over 25 years, and as A kid, Taco Time was my favorite eatery at a local mall in the Bronx. This location, however, was in a gas station and that’s not even the problem I had during my experience. The counter area where you order was dirty. Dust bunnies on the lighting fixtures literally fell on to the prep area while I was there. Given the current state of things in the world while the Chinese COVID-19 is closing dining areas, it was still very sloppy and in disarray. The cooking area itself, was fairly clean, but was still very disorganized. Now, after a long wait for my food, I excitedly opened up the Crispy Meat Burrito, my favorite item on the menu all those years ago as a kid. The Crispy Burrito was like warm to the touch, which should’ve been my first red flag. I bit into it and it was like eating ice shavings mixed with the burrito filli

Insanely short hours 8am-3pm, and then they still close early. Arrived at 2:50 pm, and get rudely told that they are closed. Absolutely Unacceptable!!!

Ifs a small business; private. This is a normally positive context for going there. Try them for yourself.
