I had a pork tamale and a steak tostada. Very basic staples in our cuisine. I'm Mexican. Nothing special just Meh ???? I was hoping for more. I wanted a steak vs the more traditional picadillo tostada to try the steak as it's usually the same meat in a taco. One thing to note. At the price for one tostada, yes I know it's the west loop, it could have had a slice of aguacate and crumble queso fresco. No aguacate and it was grated queso blanco. The tamale had too much masa a little over steamed then reheated one too many times plus the pork was odd I was looking for pulled pork in the red salsa but it looked more like puree pork in red salsa ????. I'll try again...maybe I came on a bad night.

My rating refers to the front of the establishment only. I've been here three times. They move the register line fast. The place is always very warm. Each time they forget to give you the hot sauce & it's too watery & not even mildly hot (to me). Last time they didn't charge me for my drink so I had to stand in line again. They didn't apologize they are too busy for that! So don't give there to order if you need to leave within the half hour. I ate in the last two times and the food was not as warm as I expected. The horchata was very weak and not traditional at all. They are too expensive.
