Food by far was the best taco johns in metro area with out a doubt / always is fresh here even late at night and potatoes oles are fresh out of the fryer which is another thing that is hard for other taco johns to do at night that's why we go out of our way to eat at this location on down side is the floor was super sticky from someone spilled all over by fountain pop area otherwise everything else was great Parking: Lots of spots just a funny driveway to pull in have to go around to get in off rice st
Haven’t been to TJ’s in about a decade but I heard they had some new menu items so I thought I’d try them out. The food was still not good. It wasn’t that they didn’t prepare it correctly, it was just bad. I tried the street tacos. Upon first glance it was looking hopeful, big pieces of steak and authentic-looking cheese. Unfortunately the steak tasted like a Perkins pot roast, bathing in tenderizer and artificial flavor. I don’t understand the chips, even Taco Bell’s are light and fluffy but these are dense corn, like the $2 bargain chips at the grocery store. I probably would have rated it higher had I not been able to get the same meal at the same price at Chipotle. But given the competition… its not even as good as Taco Bell. I came late at night so did not experience any service issues, and the worker was very friendly.
The food was great, but we had to repeat our order Like 6 times for the lady to understand what we were saying. And then we get our food, and they got the order wrong. I asked for 2 drinks, 1 medium potato Ole and 1 medium, both with cheese. I ended up getting 1 drink, and 2 large Ole with cheese. I didn't think it was that hard of an order. But we were on our lunch break so I didn't have time to go back into the line so I had to just deal with it.
