Taco Casa

I drove all the way from Indiana because I love their taco salads. When I got there at 6:04 pm the "manager?" had the door locked. She came to the door and said, "we closed". I told her I drove all the way from Indiana and I only wanted two taco salads but she rudely said again, "we closed. Night shift didn't show up" OK I get it they didn't show up. You can't stay 5 more minutes to slap some meat, lettuce and cheese into a plastic tray? Ridiculous.

First time visit but I will be back. Food was great for fast Mexican. Meat is seasoned well and there’s plenty of cheese. A couple of the menu items (Sancho and Taco Tico combo) gave me the impression that they might be related to the Taco Tico restaurants in Lexington, which has a similar taste, but the employee I spoke with was unaware of any connection. And speaking of the employees, the ones who were working this Saturday afternoon were polite, friendly, and fast.

When I walked in the restaurant it was empty and no employees answered my “hello”. Finally an employee came into work and took my order. I specifically asked for no onions and when I got home yes there were onions on it and no tomatoes. I am upset because the Employee making my salad and stopped in the middle and started yakking with another employee for like three minutes while making my salad. She left it sit on the counter for five minutes before I finally spoke up to the manager and said I think that’s mine. When I called the store they said they would give me a credit which was OK but it’s still aggravating that their employees don’t even stay inside the store.they should quit talking to each other when customers are waiting. There were4-5 employees there at the time after I ordered.
